It’s an all-purpose seasoning and can easily be combined with other herbs and spices. You could use it instead of the taco seasoning on this Oven Baked Potato Wedges or in this Killer Burger recipe just to name a few ideas.
This delicious homemade seasoning mix recipe makes about a 1/2 cup. It should fit ok in 4-ounce glass jars, mason jars, or other spice containers. However, depending on your jar and how well you measured, you may need to tap the jar lightly on your counter to remove some of the air and allow the rest of the seasoning mix to fit.

Quick Tips for Best Results
- All spices should be ground dry spices, not fresh herbs.
- Some of the popular seasoning salts have sugar in them, so I did add a little to this recipe. You can omit for a lower carb and less sweet version. It’s just a little sugar though.
- To help mix the ingredients together you can use a small spice grinder (or small food processor).
- Store the seasoning mix in a closed container in a dark cool place away from heat and light.
