What I Love About This Recipe

  • I love how fun and interactive these pizzas are. Everyone gets their own personal pizza, which makes dinner feel special and customizable. You can add as much or as little topping as you like. It’s a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.
  • The flavor combo is fantastic. Seasoned beef, melty cheese, and crispy crust are already a win, but adding fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and guacamole takes it over the top. The crushed tortilla chips add the perfect crunch. Every bite is loaded with texture.
  • These are great for using up leftovers. Extra taco toppings, cheeses, or even different proteins work beautifully here. It’s a flexible recipe that adapts easily to what’s in your fridge.
  • I also love how quickly these come together. Once the dough is shaped, everything moves fast. Dinner feels fun, fresh, and totally doable on a busy night.

How to Make Taco Pizzas

Step One: Preheat the Oven
Preheat the oven to 375˚F. Lightly grease two baking sheets with olive oil.

Step Two: Shape the Dough
Divide the prepared pizza dough into 12 equal balls. On a lightly floured surface, roll each ball into a thin circle about 4 to 5 inches wide. Place the rounds on the prepared baking sheets.

Step Three: Pre-Cook the Dough
Bake the dough rounds for 10 to 15 minutes, or until just lightly golden brown. Remove from the oven.

Step Four: Brown the Beef
While the dough bakes, cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Stir and break up the meat as it cooks, about 5 to 7 minutes, until fully browned. Drain off any excess grease, then stir in the taco seasoning until evenly coated.

Step Five: Build the Pizzas
Spoon tomato sauce onto each pizza crust, leaving about a ½-inch border around the edges. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the sauce, then spoon the seasoned beef on top.

Step Six: Bake the Pizzas
Return the pizzas to the oven and bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step Seven: Top the Pizzas
Remove from the oven and immediately top each pizza with shredded lettuce and chopped tomato. Add a dollop of guacamole to each and sprinkle with crushed tortilla chips.
