So yes, you can buy premade Greek Seasoning at your local grocery store. But making your own homemade seasoning mixes at home allows you to change up the ingredients or amounts which is always nice. And they make great gifts which is a nice bonus.

This recipe makes about 1/2 cup of Greek Seasoning. It should fit in 4-ounce glass jars, mason jars, or other spice containers. If you use a 4-ounce jar (or container), you may need to fill the jar most of the way with the seasoning mix, then gently tap the jar on your counter to remove any air bubbles and to make room for the rest of the seasoning mix.

This taco seasoning mix also makes a great homemade gift idea along with my other homemade spice mixes including Chicken Taco Seasoning, Fry Seasoning, Blackened Seasoning, Chili Seasoning, Seasoning Salt, Burger Seasoning, Steak Seasoning, and Poultry Seasoning.

These seasoning mixes make great simple DIY gifts. Put the mixes in jars with ribbons and tags and you have the perfect homemade gift for your favorite foodies for Christmas, birthdays, or even Mother’s Day or Father’s Day. What is Greek Seasoning

Greek Seasoning is a mix of a variety of dried herbs and spices. It’s used in a wide range of Greek or Greek-inspired dishes. The herbs and spices vary a lot and may contain Greek oregano, onion powder, garlic powder, parsley, dill, marjoram, rosemary, mint, thyme, as well as salt and pepper.

I love a little dried lemon peel in this mix, but you don’t have to add it. You could add other herbs and spices as well to your personal preference such as dill, parsley, rosemary, and/or thyme.
