Holiday season is upon us! You can never have too many delicious appetizer or dip recipes, right? This simple and tasty Chicken Alfredo Dip is the perfect addition to any holiday party.
Are you an “alfredo” fan? We love all things alredo around here including this one-pot Chicken Alfredo Soup. OMG so good! But anyways…
This Chicken Alfredo Dip is full of cheesy goodness, Alfredo sauce, and precooked chicken. Delish! It’s a great way to use up any leftover chicken you have around. A rotisserie chicken is a great idea if you need chicken, or check out my how to make shredded chicken for easy options if you don’t have any leftover.
Actually, this recipe is a great way to use up any leftover veggies or meats you have around. You can really add or substitute a wide range of precooked vegetables or meats.
Although you really should eat this dip warm out of the oven, I have to admit, it was really good cold too! My family gobbled this up so quick both hot and cold.
It’s not low fat (thanks to the Alfredo sauce and cheese…) but is gluten-free and low carb. Just be sure to use gluten-free and/or low carb dippers if that’s a concern.
Chicken Alfredo Dip Ingredients

Serving Suggestions
- Sprinkle a little fresh chopped parsley on top for a little color.
- Serve right away warm out of the oven. Although my kids were eating it cold later right out of the fridge because they couldn’t get enough.
- You can serve the dip with your favorite “dippers” like crackers, crostini, baguette slices, veggies (carrots and celery would work), pretzels, or even breadsticks.
Quick Tips for Best Results
- Make sure your cream cheese is completely softened to room temperature. It will help prevent lumps in the dip and also make it easier to mix with the other ingredients for a creamy dip.
- Use your favorite Alfredo sauce or even Homemade Alfredo Sauce.
- Put the dip in a shallow ovenproof bowl or even a pie plate for easier dipping.
- I used a preshredded Italian blend cheese and regular cream cheese, but you could try your favorite shredded cheese or even flavored cream cheese.
- Although you can try using low-fat cheeses in this dip, they don’t always melt well so results may vary quite a bit.
Chicken Alfredo Dip FAQ
How should I store the Chicken Alfredo Dip?
You can make this dip ahead of time and store covered in the fridge either before or after you bake it. I would bring to room temperature then bake or reheat.
Can I freeze the Chicken Alfredo Dip?
I would not recommend freezing this dip.
How long will the dip last?
Depending on the freshness of your ingredients, it should last at least a few days if not longer.
Substitutions?
Instead of Italian blend cheese, you can use your favorite shredded cheese such as mozzarella. Instead of chicken, you could use your favorite precooked meat such as pork, sausage, bacon, or even seafood like shrimp or crab.
Can I use low-fat ingredients?
You can try using low-fat or light cream cheese or shredded cheese but know that they don’t always melt well so the dip consistency might be a little different.
What else can I add to this recipe?
You could also add some precooked vegetables such as spinach, artichokes or mushrooms. I’d be sure everything is precooked since the dip doesn’t take long to heat through. Cajun seasoning and/or more garlic would also be a great addition for a spicy version.
What should I serve this dip with?
Anything you can think of! Things like crackers, crostini, vegetables (carrots and celery), baguette slices, or even pretzels (like these Soft Pretzel Sticks) would be great.
Didn’t turn out, what went wrong?
If you substituted ingredients or used low-fat ingredients your results could vary a lot. Also, if you cooked the dip at the bottom or top of your oven it may over brown on the bottom or top.
