Chocolate Peanut Butter Magic Cookie Bars, an easy cookie bar recipe perfect to end the holidays with! They only take a few minutes to prep thanks to a Betty Crocker™ peanut butter cookie mix and other ingredients you may already have in your pantry. If you need a last minute dessert for New Year’s Eve this is the dessert for you!
The holidays have been wonderful this year, don’t you think? I hope you’ve been spending lots of time with your family and friends. I am! One tradition I always enjoy this time of year is baking with my kids.
I love baking with my kids and hearing their fun stories and giggles. But the holidays can also be crazy busy, so baking together is a great way to come together when things are crazy.
Since both my kids LOVE chocolate and peanut butter I knew they’d love making this Chocolate Peanut Butter Magic Cookie Bars with me. We started off by visiting our local Walmart and picking up a pouch of the peanut butter cookie mix.
We also bought a pouch of the sugar cookie mix too. The mixes come in handy this time of year and make baking a breeze! I always need last minute desserts and treats during the holidays so save yourself some time like I do and start with a cookie mix.
No one will know you started with a cookie mix and quick baking will leave time for other things. Great way to “Spread Cheer with Simple Surprises”. These cookies also freeze and travel well so make a few batches and keep them in the freezer when you need a last minute treat.
You just add a few ingredients to the cookie mix to form a cookie base for these Chocolate Peanut Butter Magic Cookie Bars, vegetable oil, water, and an egg. How easy is that?
Once you have your cookie base in a 13×9-inch pan, you sprinkle chocolate chips and peanuts on top. Then pour a can of condensed milk that has been mixed with a little cocoa powder on top. These magic cookie bars are so easy to make, you could just hand the recipe over to your kids while you sit back and relax, right?!
Hope you enjoy these Chocolate Peanut Butter Magic Cookie Bars!
