Peach & Honey Sangria Slushies, plus Giveaway!

peach sangria 4a text

Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend!!  Hard to believe it’s the end of May, summer is almost here, and Father’s Day is only a few weeks away!  Today’s post is to honor all the great dads out there!   I have a great recipe and giveaway today that will surely make your Father’s Day special!  These Peach & Honey Sangria Slushies are not only great for the dads out there, they’re also great for all the moms because we all know that a happy mom equals a happy dad!!  :)   Also, how about winning a great gift for Dad!  Courtesy of Le Creuset, I have a great gift that any dad would love!

You may know Le Creuset from their beautiful and high quality cast iron and stoneware products.  I was surprised to find out they also make a WIDE range of other products including oven mitts and aprons, cutlery, bowls and measuring tools, wine tools, and more!  Want to win something cool for your Dad??  How about one of these Le Creuset Advanced Lever and Foil Cutters (retail price about $170)?? Read on for rules and how to enter.

I have to admit, I was a little intimidated when I first opened the Le Creuset Advanced Lever and Foil Cutter.  Don’t worry though, it turned out to be easy! The lever and foil cutter come in a beautiful box and you can tell right away that they are very high quality and will last you a VERY long time!

The foil cutter takes the foil off of a bottle of wine in no time!  No more trying to get the foil off with a knife and taking off a finger or two…

Ok, I’ll admit it.  I’ve been known to tear up a few corks in my day trying to get them out.  I’ve even had a few corks fall into the wine bottle.  Don’t ask.  I have no idea how that is even physically possible.  Nothing worse than drinking a glass of wine with little pieces of cork in it.  The Le Creuset Advanced Lever got the cork out in about 1 second very easily and neatly.  I was really impressed!!!

I know any dad would love to have one of these Le Creuset Advanced Lever and Foil Cutters  so enter to win!  Or maybe you’ll like it so much you’ll keep it for yourself!!  :)

For Father’s Day my husband always grills (don’t worry – he loves it) and my parents come for a BBQ so we can all celebrate together. We may just have to add these Peach & Honey Sangria Slushies to the menu this year : )

For Father’s Day.. this year is difficult because my Dad passed away just under 2 months ago. So, I will be concentrating on my husband this year. But, I like to give him alone time. He is stay at home Dad and would LOVE time to himself. Maybe fishing or working in the garden. whatever he wants. :-)

I follow you on Pinterest. For the record I just bought one of those little foil cutters because I was tired of trying to use a knife without cutting myself.

I LOVE going out to eat with my dad – especially SUSHI! My hubby unfortunately does not like going out to eat & will NOT eat sushi, so for him me & the kids usually just go for a horseback ride/picnic – which is super fun also!

Since my father passed 19 years ago we really haven’t done much in the way of celebrating father’s day. Now that my brother is a dad, we do try to get together as much as possible to celebrate that and remember our own dad.

We do nothing special for father’s day, but I do wish my dad every father’s day. And father’s day or not I always let him know how much I love him!

Our father’s are gone but we usually spend the day together or go over for barbeque at my daughter’s home where they wish Grandpa a Happy Father’s Day. If we are alone,we go for a long walk, have his favorite fried chicken or Burger King.

First of all, I need to try your slushie asap….it looks amazing! Now to answer your question, I like to make my dad angel food cake for his birthday and father’s day, it’s his favorite :) He also enjoy’s red wine every once in a while, and is in desperate need of a better bottle opener. This one for Le Creuset is outstanding!

I like to call my dad just to say hi, and we talk about our recent bike rides. He likes it when I call him directly and not the house (where my mom can also pick up).

Darn that slushie looks tasty. As to Father’s Day, I like to fix an extra special meal and a lemon cake for dessert. The cake being the most important as that’s his fave.

My dad is a professional chef – but he never gets to grill – and he’s so good and loves it! For father’s day we buy him everything he needs to cook us a delicious grilled dinner (a little selfish – but we make his favorite dessert, too!) and we all enjoy the day!

Father’s Day is kind of weird for me. My dad has been gone for 12 years and I have no other “fathers” in my life except for my husband who is not the father of my children. Sooooo… we usually have sort of a low-key holiday that day. :)

We have a first floor bathroom which only my husband and the cats use. Due to the litter boxes, its quite disguisting so for fathers day I am redoing the whole bathroom for him. Will reprint the walls, paint the vanity, put in carpet squares and build a structure to hold the litter boxes and their accessories.

My step-dad has treated my brother and me as if we were his own for over 30 years and we love him for it. Both my brother and I have disabilities which added to my parent’s stresses and struggles but through it all, my “dad” has always stepped up to the plate (so to speak). My dad is funny when it comes to gift giving or paying special attention to him. He is very reserved and private. He finds the simple things in life rewarding and sharing time with family and friends makes him happy. All he asks for is our time and on those special occasions, we do just that. We come together and enjoy each other’s company around some great food (cooked or at a restaurant) and just laugh with each other. He loves collecting liquors and wines and takes them out on these special occasions like Father’s Day.
