Summer may not be officially here yet, but I’m celebrating with this fun Strawberry Mint Lemonade! Great mocktail or cocktail that uses my homemade Mint Simple Syrup that is great to keep in your fridge throughout the summer.

Strawberry Mint Lemonade with strawberries and lemons

This is some darn good lemonade if I do say so myself! As I have mentioned previously, I love keeping a bottle of my mint simple syrup around in the summer for last minute mocktails and cocktails, like for this fresh lemonade.

Add 3 other ingredients to the mint simple syrup for your strawberry lemonade, and you’ll have yourself a refreshing drink that beats that powdered lemonade any day.

What will you need?

Ingredients for Homemade Strawberry Mint Lemonade

  • Fresh strawberries
  • Fresh lemon juice
  • Mint simple syrup
  • Sparkling water (or still water)

I like to make sure all my ingredients are COLD before I start, but personal preference.

How to Make Strawberry Mint Lemonade

1. Place the strawberries, lemon juice, and mint simple syrup in a blender and process until smooth.
2. Pour over glasses filled with ice and top with sparkling water (or still water) and stir to combine.

How easy is that for a quick homemade lemonade?!

I like to use sparkling water in this lemonade, but you could use still water or even lemon-lime soda or ginger ale for a sweeter version. Just make sure to give it a try to adjust the sweetness as needed for your personal preference.

Serve in tall glasses with fun paper straws and lemon slices and/or fresh strawberries if you’d like.

This Strawberry Mint Lemonade is a naturally bright pink lemonade with no artificial colors. Great for summer parties in a big batch in a pitcher served with your favorite treats like these Italian Lemon Cookies.

FAQs

Can I use FROZEN strawberries instead of fresh?

Yes absolutely! I’d suggest thawing the frozen unsweetened strawberries first, or you could use frozen for a frosty version! If you have sweetened frozen strawberries you may need to adjust the mint simple syrup in the recipe.

Can I use LIME juice instead of lemon?

Yes, lime juice instead of lemon works great too. Use fresh juice for best results, but bottled will work in a pinch.

How do I make this into a Lemonade Cocktail?

So glad you asked! For a hard lemonade version, you can add your favorite liquor or liqueur such as vodka, whiskey, gin, or even bourbon. This homemade strawberry lemonade makes a great cocktail or mocktail.

Can I use regular simple syrup, sugar, or honey?

You can use your favorite sweetener or sweetener substitute but may need to vary the amount. Depending on how sweet your strawberries are you may also need to add more or less sweetener. Be sure to start off with just a little sweetener of choice, try the drink, and add more sweetener as needed.

Should I strain the strawberry mixture after blending?

You can for a smoother drink but not necessary.

Hope you enjoy this delicious homemade Strawberry Mint Lemonade!

I am loving the idea of mint syrup! I add ginger and mint to lemonade, but having fresh mint is such a pain. This is the perfect solution!
