I just bought this little slow cooker and had to give it a try! It’s less than $8 right now on Amazon so can’t beat that! It’s the perfect size for small dishes or dips and appetizers like this Slow Cooker Philly Cheesesteak Dip. You know I love snacks and appetizers so I think I will get a lot of use out of this little slow cooker.

And just be clear, I bought this slow cooker and did not get it for free.  This is also not a review of the slow cooker.

If you like Philly Cheesesteaks I think you’ll enjoy this dip.

Only 7 ingredients in this dip including milk, cream cheese, white American cheese, chopped veggies (onions and peppers), frozen sandwich steak, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. That’s it! But feel free to customize to your own taste.

A few tips…

White American deli cheese melts really well so be careful substituting other cheeses. You may not get the same results.

For the steak I chopped up frozen Steak-umms (in the freezer section of your grocery store) but you could use any kind of chopped steak. Leftover steak would work great too! I liked the Steak-Umms because they were easy and break down a bit in the dip so you still get the taste but not huge chewy chunks of beef.

I used a combination of onions and bell peppers in the dip but you could use just one.

It only took about 10 minutes to prep all the ingredients. Then all you do is stir the ingredients together in the slow cooker and cook on low for about an hour. I would suggest stirring the dip every 15 to 20 minutes.

  1. This would be fabulous for the coming gameday weekend. I love how easy it is to make it and would definitely try soon.

  2. That sounds amazing! I have pulled beef in the freezer, if I drain it and roughly chop the big pieces would that work?

  3. Wow, what a scrumptious dip! I’d love it with chips or veggies, or maybe even served with meat or chicken! Delicious!
