The holiday season is always busy, and I am constantly looking for quick and easy appetizer recipes that still feel fun and special. These Easy Chicken Parmesan Sausage Bites are one of those recipes you will come back to again and again because they are simple, fast, and loaded with classic chicken parm flavor.

If you love chicken parmesan but do not love the breading, frying, and mess that comes with it, this recipe is for you. Fully cooked chicken sausage keeps everything easy and stress-free. There is no raw meat to deal with and almost no cleanup.
This sausage appetizer is a fun twist on traditional chicken parm and only uses four main ingredients plus toothpicks. Prep is so easy that kids can help make these, which is always a win during the busy holiday season.
One package of chicken sausage usually includes four links and makes about 24 sausage bites when sliced into six pieces each. You can easily double the recipe for a crowd or mix and match sausage flavors to keep things interesting.
These baked sausage bites are naturally low-carb and gluten-free, which makes them a great option when serving guests with different dietary needs. They feel indulgent without being heavy, which is perfect when there are lots of other snacks and desserts around.
Equipment You May Need
- Rimmed Baking Sheet – Used to bake the sausage bites evenly in the oven.
- Sharp Knife – Makes slicing the sausage links quick and easy.

- Toothpicks – For serving and securing the basil on top.
Ingredients
- Fully Cooked Chicken Sausage – Any flavor works. Each link is sliced into bite-sized pieces for easy serving.
- Tomato Sauce – Adds classic chicken parmesan flavor. Homemade or store-bought both work well.
- Fresh Mozzarella Cheese – Melts beautifully and gives each bite that gooey, cheesy finish.
- Fresh Basil Leaves – Adds freshness and that signature chicken parm flavor.
