This Boom Sauce, aka “secret sauce” (or we sometimes call it boom boom sauce) is so easy to make! We always keep a big bottle of it in our fridge and put it on almost everything. Makes the best dipping sauce for so many things! Be careful though, it’s quite addictive!
This Boom Sauce is not only the best burger and fry sauce, it’s great for just about everything! Well except maybe ice cream. Although if you do want to put it on ice cream, who am I to judge?! haha!
How to Make Boom Sauce
This Boom Sauce is super easy to make and most of the ingredients, if not all of them, you probably already have in your home.
All you have to do is mix all the ingredients in a bowl including the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and worcestershire sauce.
The recipe makes about 1 1/4 cups of sauce, but we typically make a lot more at one time and then store it in an empty mayonnaise bottle or mason jars. We use a lot of this on a regular basis so we make it in big batches.
I used yellow mustard, but for a tangier and spicier version, you could use a different variety of mustard or Dijon mustard.
You can also add pickle relish, chopped pickles, or even a little pickle juice for a little tang.
A little vinegar, or even prepared horseradish, are also great additions. We love adding horseradish when using this for a fun dipping sauce for shrimp!
Feel free to change it up a little to resemble some of your favorite restaurant dipping sauces like Outback’s Bloomin’ Onion sauce, Mississippi comeback sauce, and various burger joints burger sauces.
If you try it, let me know!
