When is Strawberry Season?
Most strawberries in the United States are grown in California or Florida. Although every state grows strawberries.
When you’re purchasing strawberries at your grocery store you will probably notice that California and Florida are generally listed most often.
Strawberry season is typically January through November in the United States, but peak strawberry season is generally spring and summer like April through June.
Strawberry season can vary among different states and areas of the country. In the northeast and midwest for example, strawberry season is typically sometime between the end of May to early July depending on the weather and other factors.
Maybe I’m a bit bias since I grew up in Michigan, but Michigan has great strawberries and like the rest of the midwest generally has peak strawberry season late May to early July.
The southeast tends to have a slightly earlier strawberry season which usually falls between March and May.
The northwest has a bit of a later season that peaks between June and July.
