Snow Ice Cream has been on my “to-do” list for years.  I’ve also heard it called snow cream. I really don’t have any good excuses as far as why it’s taken me so long to finally try it.  We’ve lived in Connecticut for a year now, and lived in Iowa for 3 years prior, so there have been PLENTY of chances to use up some snow.

Yesterday my kids had a snow day from school, thanks to the 18+ inches of snow we received overnight so I figured it was a good of time as any to give the snow ice cream a try!

There are recipes for snow ice cream all over the internet so this is nothing original.  However, most of the recipes on the internet are for vanilla ice cream.  Although, I like vanilla, I just happened to notice some cocoa powder and peppermint and thought I’d give it a try.

It turned out great!  I really was shocked how good snow could taste!  If you are in one of the 49 states at the moment that has snow, give this one a try!

Got snow?  If you don’t, help yourself to ours….
