Check out our list of 11 best Trader Joe’s products my family can’t live without! Do you agree with the list? Would love to hear about your favorite Trader Joe’s products in the comments below.
My family has a bit of a problem. We have turned into Trader Joe’s addicts! Although we have loved many of their products we came up with a list of the best Trader Joe’s products that we can’t get enough of right now.
For the longest time, I could not understand the appeal of Trader Joe’s. The first few times we went, it was super crowded and we couldn’t figure out what everyone was buying. So we didn’t go back for a long time…
Then we went one time when it was NOT crowded, decided to REALLY look around, buy some things, and the rest is history so to speak. We are now hooked and go weekly to pick up a wide range of products.
This list really should be more like the HUNDRED best Trader Joe’s products, but thought I’d cut it down so I wouldn’t bore you all. I’m sure the list will be totally different, but for now, these are our favorites.
Best Trader Joe’s Products
Here you go, our favorites…
- Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend
This seasoning mixture contains sesame seeds, sea salt, minced garlic, dried minced onion, and poppy seeds. As crazy as it sounds this seasoning mix is great on all sorts of things! Great sprinkled on chicken or fish, also great on vegetables! No bagel needed.
2. Chocolate Chips & Chocolate Chunks
Yes, I know you can buy chocolate chips and chocolate chunks all over. However, I love Trader Joe’s chocolate because it melts beautifully and has great flavor. It doesn’t get clumpy when melting and the chocolate has a beautiful shine.
3. Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
Trader Joe’s cocoa powder has great flavor and perfect for hot chocolate, baking, and all our cocoa needs! It doesn’t have that bitter artificial taste like some other cocoa powders on the market. It’s my go-to cocoa powder.
4. Dark Chocolate Almonds
I may be a bit addicted to Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Almonds with sea salt and turbinado sugar. Someone told me about them, and I remember thinking, how can they be THAT good. Yeah, and then I tried them. And they are THAT good. Sweet and salty with a rich chocolate coating! Watch out, because they are addictive.
5. Ghost Pepper Potato Chips
My kids and husband can’t get enough of these Ghost Pepper Potato Chips! We were at a Trader Joe’s near me last year and while looking at them, an employee mentioned how good they were. We gave them a try and now they are all hooked. They are definitely spicy (not at first, but ummm watch out), but not to the point where you feel like you may die. haha!
6. Green Dragon Hot Sauce
If you like hot sauces, you’ll love this Green Drago Hot Sauce! A little different than other hot sauces, this one contains jalapenos and cilantro. Use it in place of your favorite hot sauce in different recipes or just drizzle it on everything. EVERYTHING!
7. Gyro Slices
My family LOVES gyros! It can be difficult to replicate gyro meat at home. These slices of gyro meat are in the refrigerator section, but also freeze well. Fry up the slices of gyro meat in just a few minutes in a pan on the stovetop. We like to serve the meat slices on Trader Joe’s flatbread with Homemade Tzatziki, as well as chopped lettuce, tomato, and onion. Dinner in 5 minutes!
8. Harissa
Apparently, my family likes spicy food now that I’m looking over our list! If you like spicy food and have never tried Harissa, give it a try. Harissa is a hot chili pepper paste and a great addition to a wide variety of dips, sauces, and other recipes.
9. Cilantro Salad Dressing
I really love a lot of Trader Joe’s salad dressings, but if I HAD to pick one, I’d pick the Cilantro Salad Dressing. It’s creamy and light and also a great sauce! My second favorite would be the Asian Style Spicy Peanut Vinaigrette. It makes a great marinade and dip, in addition to being a fun Asian inspired salad dressing.
10. Argentine Red Shrimp
This red shrimp, tastes like lobster and a fraction of the price! My daughter can’t get enough of it. The shrimp are a good size and delicious! Defrost them in the fridge overnight and cook them in a pan with a little butter, garlic, and salt and you have dinner in minutes.
11. BBQ Chicken Teriyaki
I was really skeptical of this BBQ Chicken Teriyaki the first time I bought it. You cook it in the microwave (or you can cook it any way you’d like…) so I thought it would turn out rubbery and hard. Well, I was pleasantly surprised how quickly it cooked in the microwave and how delicious it was. Serve over some rice (or a low carb version like cauliflower rice…) with a vegetable and you have a quick weeknight dinner.
I should mention, one of our other favorites, Zucchini Fries, recently got discontinued! My son is heartbroken so hoping they bring them back here soon!
I know other popular Trader Joe’s favorites include their ice cream (Yes, so yummy!), beer and wine (unfortunately they only sell beer in our nearest Trader Joe’s locations), cookie butter (we liked it, but just not one of our absolute favorites), orange chicken (so good too!), cauliflower pizza (haven’t tried it yet), and turkey meatballs (haven’t tried yet either).
Be sure to visit Trader Joe’s website to find your nearest Trader Joe’s locations and hours.
