Blackened Seasoning

Blackened Seasoning is an easy Cajun-inspired DIY spice blend that is perfect for all kinds of dishes, including chicken, pork, fish, shrimp, and even steak!


– paprika – salt – garlic powder – onion powder – cayenne pepper

Mix all ingredients in a small bowl until well combined.


Place in small glass spice jar with lid. Store at room temperature.


- There are lots of different types of paprika. Use one you like. For a spicy seasoning mix, use a hot or spicy version, or use a sweeter version for a less spicy seasoning mix.

Quick Tips for Best Results

- Use dried herbs and spices, not fresh. - For a finer ground spice, you can use a small spice grinder (or small food processor) to combine everything.
