I’m teaming up with Country Crock® for this quick and easy Simply Sautéed Italian Green Beans recipe! You may remember my recent post, Ball Game Chunk Cookies with Country Crock® buttery spread or the Lemon Dill Asparagus, and now it’s time for an easy savory side dish. These Simply Sautéed Italian Green Beans are the perfect side dish for a quick weeknight meal AND they are also perfect for a holiday or special occasion meal. Did I mention it only takes about 12 minutes to make these Italian Green Beans? How easy is that?
You may remember me mentioning that I have one child who is a great eater and LOVES trying new things. I have a hard time keeping up with him because he always wants something new to try. Then I have my daughter who is not so courageous, especially when it comes to vegetables. It can be challenging coming up with creative ways to serve vegetables to please them both.
I was happy to give the Country Crock® Simply Sautéed Vegetables recipe a try and put my own spin on it for my kids and hope to please them both.
To make these Simply Sautéed Italian Green Beans, start with some Country Crock® buttery spread in a large skillet. Add some minced garlic then add your green beans.
Sauté the beans for about 8 minutes or until crisp and tender. If your kids like their vegetables a bit more on the raw side you may want to cook the beans a little less than 8 minutes, and if they like their vegetables a bit more soft, you may want to cook the beans a bit longer.
Stir in the Italian seasoning, top with additional Country Crock® buttery spread, and serve! You can also stir in a little salt and pepper if you’d like. How about that? Fresh vegetables in 12 minutes!
Both my kids gobbled these Italian Green Beans right up! Thumbs up from both kids and thumbs up from me since it was so quick and easy to make. If you’re short on time, you could also substitute frozen green beans.
If your kids don’t like green beans, you can substitute your favorite vegetable(s). Use your favorite vegetable, herbs and spices, and Country Crock® buttery spread and you can create your own recipe and delicious side dish that is perfect for your family.
For a spicier and more grown-up version of these Italian Green Beans, add some red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese!

Simply Sautéed Italian Green Beans Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons Country Crock® Original Spread divided
- 5 cups fresh green beans
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- Salt & Pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Melt 2 tablespoons Country Crock® buttery spread in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sauté green beans and garlic, stirring occasionally, until green beans crisp and tender, about 8 minutes. Stir in Italian seasoning.
- Top with remaining 1 tablespoon Country Crock® buttery spread. Season with salt and pepper if desired.
Notes
- To save time, frozen green beans may be substituted.
- Country Crock® Calcium Spread may be substituted for Country Crock® Original Spread. One tablespoon offers 10% of the daily value, and three tablespoons has as much calcium as a glass of milk!

Your kids sound like mine – one will devour everything, the other is a bit more reserved, but progressing well. These buttery, herby beans (family favourite) would go down a storm with all of us though.
