Another great food blogger interview for you today! Tiffany from The Gracious Pantry is sharing some of her favorite recipes, blogging tips, and more! Be sure to stop by her site and social media!
Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?
I’m a full time blogger and single mom. I’m currently taking a break from culinary school to care for my mother full time as well. I’ve been blogging since 2005 and started my current blog in 2009. Blogging has allowed me to stay home with my son. It’s been an amazing ride!
Can you tell me a little bit about your blog?
I blog about clean eating recipes for everyday living. Simple, from-scratch recipes with no artificial or processed ingredients. For my current blog, I started blogging in 2009 as a way to keep track of my own recipes as well as to keep track of my progress with my health goals.
What do you like most about blogging? What do you NOT like about blogging?
I love the freedom it gives me to live my life. In no other job could I take an entire month off to care for my mother and still have a regular paycheck coming in. I can do things with my son whenever I want or need to. I have amazing and loyal readers who support me in amazing ways, and I just love knowing that something I cooked in my own kitchen is something that many other people are also enjoying for dinner!
I hate that I have to constantly track down stolen content. It’s annoying and time consuming.
What would be one tip you would give to someone who was thinking about starting a blog?
If it’s a hobby, just enjoy the process! If it’s in the hopes of making a living, be prepared to work for free for several years before you can afford more than a single cup of coffee per month. But if it feels right and you know this is what you want to do, stick with it. Constantly improve on it. The second you think you know it all or that your blog is perfect the way it is, you stop growing and succeeding. Blogging is a continual work in progress. But that’s half the fun!
What are some of your favorite recipes you’ve created?
Where do you get ideas for your new recipes?
From my fridge and the produce section mostly. I love the produce section and imagining all the possibilities!!
Where do you see you and your blog 5 years from now?
I hope to have at least 2 more cookbooks published and have a cooking show on PBS.
Speed round….first thing that pops into your head!
