Insane Brownie Chocolate Cake

This Insane Brownie Chocolate Cake is truly INSANE!    We’re talking insanely good!  It is one of the best chocolate cakes I’ve ever had!  Rich, fudgey, and full of chocolate!  It’s like what would happen if a rich chocolate cake and a fudgey brownie had a baby.  If you’re not a chocolate lover (do they really exist?) you might want to look away.   I made this cake for my daughter’s birthday last week.  She wanted lots of chocolate so she was quite the happy child!  This is an easy recipe but maybe not one of my more “snappy” recipes.  This Insane Brownie Chocolate Cake is definitely a great recipe and cake for birthdays, holidays (Christmas or Valentine’s Day would be great!), or any special occasion!  If it was up to me though, I’d say Insane Brownie Chocolate Cake is perfect any day! Amber Maharani Teacup Cakes

Today’s recipe is another recipe using Mamacat’s Q. Tea but you won’t be drinking this recipe!  Recently I made a cocktail using the tea, Ruby Slipper Springtini, but today’s recipe is for a cake, Amber Maharani Teacup Cakes!  Tea is not just for drinking!  You can use it to flavor your favorite baked goods, sauces, and other dishes!  I used the tea right in my cake batter and frosting for a great flavor and beautiful natural color!  To make these cakes a little more fun, instead of making them in cupcake liners or a cake pan I decided to bake the cake right in teacups!  I hope you enjoy and don’t forget to enter my Mamacat’s Q. Tea GIVEAWAY if you haven’t already!  Deadline is this week!

Tex-Mex Sheet Cake

3 words describe this cake…  OH MY GOD!!  Beware…you may just eat the whole thing!!  I fell in love with Texas Sheet Cakes when I lived in Alabama years ago. A local restaurant chain, Zoes Kitchen, had a version that I could NOT get enough of.  They called it Yaya’s Chocolate Cake; I called it HEAVEN.  I’m fairly certain  Zoes Kitchen’s cake is a version of a Texas Sheet Cake even though they don’t “call” it that.  I consumed so much of their cake while I was pregnant that it’s no wonder my son now loves chocolate!  There are lots of recipes for Texas Sheet Cake all over the internet.  They are all a little different and I could have just given you one, but that would be boring wouldn’t it??  So instead, I decided to put a little Mex in the Tex and came up with what I like to call my Tex-Mex Sheet Cake.  My version has dark chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, ancho chili pepper, almonds, and cajeta!  Let’s just say even my family members (who will remain nameless…) who do not usually like chocolate cake were licking their plates!!  This cake is so rich and moist it will definitely be one of your favorites!
