Make your own “frozen” pancakes, waffles, and French toast in no time and have many meals ready to go in a snap! If you or your family likes pancakes, waffles, or French toast here’s a great time saving tip. If you’re going to mess up the kitchen to make these from scratch make a BIG batch. Double, triple, or even quadruple your favorite recipe. Cool the food completely than place the food in a single layer (make sure the food is spread out and not touching each other) on a large baking sheet (use multiple baking sheets if necessary) and place in the freezer for about an hour or until frozen. Make sure your baking sheets will fit in your freezer first. I’ve made that mistake a few times!
Once the food is frozen, you can place it in large resealable bags and place back in the freezer. You now have your own frozen pancakes, waffles, and French toast. The trick is freezing each piece individually! The food will not clump together in the freezer and you can pull out what you need for each meal. To reheat, take out what you need and toast in a toaster or toaster oven, heat in the oven, or cook in the microwave. And don’t think just breakfast! These can make a quick dinner or brunch for your family or for a party! You can make everything ahead and reheat in a few minutes!
Need a little inspiration? How about Overnight Ice Cream French Toast with Cinnamon Banana Syrup.

I was just in Wal-mart yesterday and I saw big bags of frozen pancakes and I thought to myself “Why would anybody pay for that when they can so easily and cheaply make it at home in bulk, then freeze.” Good tip. I am all for big batch cooking when possible, then freezing.
